Executive Business Services

EBS needed an online document portal that would enable clients and staff to submit, review, and process documents as part of regulatory compliance. The original flash-based website was recreated in xhtml to be more accessible and search engine friendly, and a simple and easy-to-use content management system was added.

Document Portal

Clients use this portal to submit documents to EBS for processing. During submission clients are prompted to select the method and timing of disclosure from EBS’ current product list; after submission, they are provided a unique reference number and confirmation of submitted details by email. It is also possible to review the submission history for status updates, download submitted documents, and update basic account information.

Staff receive an email notification containing a direct hyperlink to new submissions where they can review the details and documents, transfer the submission to third-party vendors as required, and update the status. In addition, staff may view activity logs for each submission and user.

Both clients and staff make use of the same secure login system; passwords are never stored/transmitted in clear text and if forgotten can be reset, but not retrieved.

Content Management System

Staff are now able to make changes instantly to the EBS website from within the portal administration without any knowledge of html. widgEditor was chosen as the WYSIWYG because it is light and both easy to use and implement.

Website Recreation

As the original EBS website was entirely in flash and completely invisible to mobile devices, screen readers, and search engines, it was recreated with a simple and clean html/css layout.
